Abbot is Co-Founder and CEO of SolPacific, LLC, a national investment manager focusing its efforts on real estate opportunities. As CEO, Abbot oversees all investment opportunities under the SolPacific umbrella, including three income funds and direct real estate investments spanning hotels, multifamily properties, commercial real estate, and strategic ventures.
Prior to creating SolPacific, Abbot was CEO of Mercury Investment, a national private equity firm investing in multifamily and hotel properties.
In addition to a long career in private equity investment and acquisition, Abbot was an attorney in private practice from 1985 until 1995, becoming the youngest Vice President, Shareholder and Director of the law firm of Fryberger, Buchanan, Smith & Fredrick, P.A. He attended the University of Minnesota for both his undergraduate degree and his law degree, graduating with honors from law school in 1985.
